homepage layout

i know i get a little confused when i first log on trying to find where "stuff" is. it would help me if i didn't have to scroll to the bottom of the page to find the links to click on gallery, forums, etc. maybe if they could be on the side of the info (which i think is the blog) that is on the homepage.
